yep, and try raising the ride height in front a little...one other thing to try might be to just SOFTLY torque your control arm bolts, those things can be TOO tight and bind...also check the a arms for bind.

oh and f.ck the DR's. Put those Hoosiers on and tune to them.

ALSO, and I can't believe I forgot to tell you this...when you came out of the water the last time last night, and it might have been due to those ROCK HARD DR's, but your right was spinning and your left was not...I don't mean to alarm you, but ASAP we need to add a clutch to your differential. Details on that mod are all over the corral. I did this to mine and it's still like a spool with 250 passes on it (course, I just make girly  power).

Yea i think i might raise the front some, but i dont really want to go to high because well its a street car and i want to keep it kinda low lol. I think i need to swap out the rear springs w/ some 4cyl ones i got and maybe put a 50/50 rear shocks on it but i think the g trac is going to stay on this year atleast till after the pinks race. I dont want to tear it apart and not be able to afford to get it back together. I wish i would have gotten a couple passes on the drag radials though to see if the car likes like short of tire compared to the 28" slicks. It reacted nicely with the slicks, but i could smell the clutch at times so i dont know if the clutch is just going bad or if maybe the tires are too tall making the clutch burn. Not sure but another track night w/ the dr's is in store. Im thinking pry a 27" slick is going to be my best bet. right in between. Also i defintely would like to add another clutch to the rear. I had this done in my dads car and its sweet. I figured once these axles break, i will be adding 33 splines w/ a new track loc or locker to match. lol ahaha and you dont make girly power if your running the same kinda times im running.

Not sticking up for myself, but my guess was based on him not having slicks at Pinks. Sounds like he will though.

hell jason i would say your the closest one haha. The other few runs were 7.5 and i think a 8.0 and something else. My first pass was 9.5. haha I launched on it but let off to make sure the car went in a straight line. I was racing some SS HHR thing and when we got back to the line of cars he got out and was like "Did i really win or were you messing with me??" hahahaha Seriously? you didn't think that SS HHR was going to win did you??

Just have to change some things up and see what happens. The rear suspension is what is killing the car since its the Steeda G-trac 5 link. Its more like a road race suspension i guess you could say. I will just have to put a set of 4 cyl springs in the rear like we talked about to hopefully help it squat some haha.

you should sell me said rear suspension for my road race car :)

This said rear will cost you alot lol. Unless you have a bult 8.8 w/ uppers n lowers you would like to trade. The g-trac 5 link is welded to the rear so i figured when the time comes to get rid of it hopefully someone will have what i need to just swap rears instead of me trying to cut mine all out and get it off the rear i have i can just pull the whole thing out and cut it from the frame.

Its looking like its going to be a nice weekend with the way the weather is looking. However its spose to be 92 degrees on sat w/ humidity being 71-80%. No wind either.

If i run it right off the trailer it will pry be 11.38-11.45 but im not sure if i want to do that. Might let it warm up a bit so both runs will be a lil closer to each other. But who knows yet. The humidity isn't going to help thats for sure.

Im guessing best pass will be 11.45 @ 118 w/ a 1.65 60 ft.

Alex, get an Igloo and drink GALLONS of water...have a hat and a wet towel in the car for the long march in the staging lanes.

I think you'll be quicker than you think...the track will be prepped really good and you'll finally hook that thing up. Very low elevens, 1.5x 60"

Good luck, and shift hard -- it's tough as nails!

It hit 100 degree when we were down there and lets just say the blower does not like the heat. It was a long day for me friday and saturday was a long one too but wasn't bad at all.

Friday i picked the car up at 10am ish from the Sam @ Outlaw (which props to him because even though he had me waiting till the last minute that dude worked on my car till 5am friday morning to make sure my car was ready to go). He text me at 5am saying he was going to bed and would be up by 10 so i could come get it.

After i get the car i had to go home switch the drag wheels onto it and load it on the trailer, get gas in the truck, air in the drag wheels and we got out of omaha round 1pm on friday. My cousin and i almost made it to Nebraska city and 1 of the trailer tires kinda blew out at 70mph so needless to say that was a ride!! Now i say kinda because it didn't blow up. The tire tread just peeled off the tire so i was able to drag the trailer on the cords of the tire to Neb city to get a new one on it.

100 bux & 1 hr later we leave Neb city. We finally get to Topeka and found Heartland park (no thanks to the GPS) pull in there and we ended up being 1 of the last 10 or so cars there so we were parked at the furthest point away from anything lol. We couldn't hear racing at all just could see the cars turning at the end of the return road. lol

So we got the car teched which im kinda glad we were later in the day because they just pushed us through and didn't really look at much and they said I had to make 2 practice passes right after tech. Those passes were off the pro tree and are:
1st pass- .256 R/T, 1.68 60ft, 11.75 @ 115 mph
2nd pass- .186 R/T, 1.74 60ft, 12.71 @ 96 mph (missed 3rd & 4th gear lol)

After that we went to the hotel to check in since it was like 9pm, got something to eat, got some sheeit at walmart for the next day and went to sleep about midnight. The next day we had to be there round 7:30 am, drivers meeting with Rich and the crew was at 9pm and the 2 practice rounds started after that. My sat passes for qualifyin were this:
1st pass- (10:30am) .373 R/T, 1.64 60ft, 11.64 @ 116mph (car coolant temp was like 140 so it wasn't warmed up at all and i was still that slow)
2nd pass- (arm drop pass @ 2:30pm, hot as fudge)- 1.70 60ft, 11.92 @ 113

With that said, it was a good day. They ended up picking the 11.1-11.2 class so i was happy to see it was an 11 sec class and i was fairly close. We couldn't take any videos since vid cameras were not allowed so no one would leak the show out onto the internet but i believe Riggs and my cousin got some fairly good pics. Hopefully Riggs will post his and then i can get the ones from my cousin.

I want to thank Riggs & Bobbi for helping me through this whole weekend. My cousin had the "crew" wristband on and Riggs should have. My cousin didn't help me do sheeit and he irritated me (or us lol) all weekend.
